Introduction:
My name is Kieshia Mace. I’m a realtor, divorce expert, and someone deeply committed to community building and empowerment. I’m also a passionate volunteer, a book club organizer, a fur momma to six wonderful critters, a proud and involved auntie, a reader, and an author. My life’s mission is to inspire and support others, especially women, by sharing knowledge and creating spaces for growth and learning. I’m also a dedicated nonprofit board member, working to make a positive impact in the community. I find joy in connecting with people, helping them navigate challenging situations, and seeing them thrive in their personal and professional lives.

Tell us about a time where you had to overcome a challenge in life.
A significant obstacle I faced was growing up in foster care. This experience taught me resilience and the importance of perseverance. It shaped my belief in the power of community and the need for supportive networks, especially for women who may not have access to traditional support systems.

This moment in my life taught me that no matter where you start, it’s possible to create a fulfilling and impactful life.

What do you believe the biggest challenge women are facing right now is?
I believe the biggest challenge women face right now is balancing the expectations society places on them while pursuing their passions and careers. Women are often expected to juggle multiple roles, and the pressure to excel in all areas can be overwhelming. Finding a balance between personal fulfillment and societal expectations is a daunting task, that we are expected to make look effortless.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
I was never entirely sure what I wanted to be, but I always had a deep passion for helping others and sharing what I knew. I’ve always been curious, eager to learn and explore. However, the traditional roles that were often laid out for me felt either too boring or just not a good fit. I knew I needed a path that allowed me to express my curiosity and desire to make a difference in a way that truly resonated with who I am.

What advice do you have for women in business?
My advice to women in business is to stay authentic and true to your values. If you have a vision that others do not see, don’t abandon it. Instead, move on to the next room—you’ll find support and fresh ideas in places you may not have expected. It’s easy to get caught up in what you think others expect from you, but staying grounded in your own beliefs and mission will set you apart and attract the right opportunities. Also, don’t be afraid to ask for help and build a supportive network around you.
